Chief is an AIB certified quality assurance & food safety manufacturing facility for nonfood contact displays and packaging. Our plant meets the five AIB standards: operational methods and personnel practices, maintenance for food safety, cleaning practices, integrated pest management, and food safety programs with written policies and procedures, accountability, training, traceability, recall programs, and hazard analysis.
Chief maintains ISTA certification that ensures we comply with the ISTA defined tests and procedures for how packages perform to protect their contents. Our laboratory is certified and calibrated to perform package testing to these ISTA standards using drop, compression, and transit testing as required. Additionally, Chief partners with a neutral 3rd party testing provider to validate testing when required.
Chief scored a Superior 99.26% for implementing and maintaining its HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) based food safety system, along with relevant industry-specific pre-requisite programs. This program includes allergen control programs, employee hygiene, facility condition and temperature, food defense and security, maintenance programs, pest prevention, and a plant-wide cleaning schedule, including all critical access points.
Chief’s GMI certification provides quality assurances for private branding that a display or package produced by Chief will accurately represent the retailer’s brand and color space. Checks include paper, color, cut, fold, and toxicity. GMI supplies individual colors and data for specific brands to ensure all printers are using the same color expectations. GMI assures that every SKU across every shelf in the nation will look as close to perfect as possible. Chief is certified in both Digital Print and Flexo Spot Color.
Achieve and maintain G7 Master Qualification with color space compliance.G7 certification demonstrates our compliance through the production of print and proofing, the knowledge, skill, and best practices required to effectively operate the G7 methodology in a graphic communications production environment. Colorspace is the highest level of color certification available and ensures a printer can consistently print the G7 gamut.
