Cheesemonger Box aims to bring an authentic cut-to-order cheese shop experience to cheese lovers everywhere with a commitment to sourcing only the highest quality artisan American and European cheese.
Cheesemonger Box approached Chief in need of an eco-friendly box design that would allow them to send their small-batch, artisan, and traditional cheeses to anyone’s doorsteps.
A top priority for Cheesemonger Box was a packaging set that minimized their carbon footprint.
The Chief design team worked alongside their masterminds to trial some diecut holes on the bottom of the mailer tray to allow for a more consistent transfer of cold air from their (reusable) gel packs packed with each shipment. Inside the box, they thoughtfully pack biodegradable wood shavings that cushion the product during transit. All sides of the mailer are enclosed and insulated with Green Cell Foam that can biodegrade in approximately 60 days!
